When Love Hurts Part 1: The Not So “ROSY” Side Of LOVE

Happy New Year!

Is it just me, or does it actually feel like February has brought with it a breath of fresh air?

I have been away, dear ones, for a whole month, battling brain fog. My nights were days, and my days were nights. Names, faces, places, all evaded my memory as I struggled to get my footing inside 2022. Alas! I guess somehow my brain knew what lay in store for me and was sort of shielding me from the harsh reality and ugly truths that awaited me.

Oops! Where have I gotten? ‘Tis the month of love, and that’s what my editor has asked me to focus on.
But I cannot help revisit the events in January, that got me to actually question Love.

Don’t get me wrong here. I know you, my reader, you are vested in catching a thing or two on improving your love stats, but for that you will have to wait, dear reader.

While trying to do some research on the topic of LOVE, and its various forms, I came across an interesting article on oxytocin – you know, the happy hormone. Besides making us fall in love with people, (and again, I implore you to hold the romanticism for a bit), it makes us trust people.

At least, that is what you think!

But before you know it, they betray you, and leave your trust shattered. And like me, you probably feel
all your life decisions, about all the people you chose to trust (love) in the past – best friends, colleagues, roommates, family – seem questionable. Because in one way or another, they have all betrayed you.

Sound familiar? I can see you have that long, forlorn frown on your forehead as you recount all the instances where you have been betrayed by the people you trusted.

But guess what, we asked for it!

Yes, all those people who came into our lives to betray, disappoint and break us were destined to come
and teach us these painful lessons.

Do you want to know why? Because we had a “Soul Contract” with them. Somewhere between lives our
soul chose to come to earth and have our heart broken by such and such person.

Wait, don’t scroll away yet. Over the next couple of weeks, I am going to share everything I know on
Soul Contracts. When you learn who is in your life and why, you will be able to answer a lot of the questions about LOVE: why you attract the same negative relationship patterns again and again? How you keep falling in love with emotionally unavailable, dishonest, and/or narcissistic partners? Why does your “intuition” always betray you when it comes to choosing the “right” partner?

I got your attention now, don’t I?
