February: The Spay/Neuter Awareness Month!

The whole month of February is recognized as Spay/Neuter Awareness Month. World Spay Day was launched by Doris Day Animal League in 1995, as an annual campaign to encourage people to save the lives by spaying and neutering dogs & cats & decrease the number of stray pet population. Every year it falls on the 4th Tuesday in Feb, & this year, the World Spay Day was celebrated on the 22nd of February 2022. This is the month to make a difference and educate all pet owners and caretakers on the importance of spaying/neutering. It helps decrease the number of homeless pets, controls overpopulation and reduces the need for euthanizing strays. So if you have stray pets in your area, maybe you can do your part by bringing them to one of the Free Rabies Vaccination & Sterilization Camps which will be taking place on the 24th-26th Feb, 28th Feb & 1st-2nd March or you can show your support by contributing towards these camps.
