PEANUT BLOSSOM COOKIES RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
100 grams granulated sugar
90 grams packed brown sugar
120 grams creamy peanut butter
120 grams margarine (softened)
1 egg (whole)
180 grams all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
*50 grams additional granulated sugar (for garnishing)
1 milk chocolate candy per cookie
Note:
Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Clean your oven with a damp cloth soaked in warm soapy water. Now set the heat to 200*C to preheat. Grease a clean and round 8-inch baking tin then line with parchment paper at the bottom & put aside. Measure out your ingredients carefully and precisely.
METHOD
STEP 1
In a clean large mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar, the brown sugar, peanut butter, margarine and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended (approximately 5-7 minutes).
STEP 2
Fold in the flour, baking soda and baking powder until a soft dough is formed.
STEP 3
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.
STEP 4
On your baking tray, place the cookie balls about 2 inches apart then bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
STEP 5
Immediately press 1 milk chocolate candy in the centre of each cookie while still hot. Remove from the baking tray and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
