Milk-Braised Chicken By Chef Aakshar – H&S Easter Recipe

It’s almost Easter and what better way to end our segment of Easter recipes than with Chef Aakshar’s Milk-Braised Chicken recipe! This is an easy recipe to try out and is absolutely perfect for an Easter meal to have with the whole family. The chicken is succulent with lip-smacking flavours! You and the whole family won’t be disappointed with your juicy chicken. You can serve this with potatoes and veggies along with rice!  MILK-BRAISED CHICKEN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

4tbs butter
1 large chicken
2 cups whole milk
19 garlic cloves peeled
10 sage leaves
Grated zest – 4 lemons
Salt and pepper (to taste)

METHOD

STEP 1
Preheat oven to 180C.

STEP 2
Rub the chicken with seasoning (salt and pepper).

STEP 3
Melt the butter in an ovenproof dish/pot/Dutch oven tray then place the chicken breast side up.

STEP 4
Pour in the milk, sage, garlic and lemon zest.

STEP 5
Bake for 1h30m then remove the lid and bake for another 30mins more.

Serve the chicken with the sauce it cooked in, with rice, potatoes & veggies of your choice!
