There are different body types for both men & women! It is important to know your body type, so you can pick the right type of clothing that best suits your type! 

For Her

body typeThere are 5 types of body shapes in women; Apple, Hourglass, Pear, Rectangle & Inverted Triangle!

1. Apple- Women who have an apple-shaped body, have a heavier upper body! This means you have a full bust, waist & upper back,  broad shoulders and a wide torso & tend to collect weight at their waistline.

What Should you wear?

Your goal should be to elongate that torso & draw attention to your legs. The cuts that suit this body type the most are A-line & empire cuts. Wear V-Necks to create that elongated torso illusion. Also use printed or patterned clothing to shift the focus.

Avoid- Figure hugging dresses as well as skinny jeans with a top is a No-N0!

2. Hourglass- If you have an hourglass figure, you have perfect curves and a proportionate body!

What Should you wear?

You are lucky to have the perfect body, so why not flaunt it? You can get away with anything so use it to the maximum advantage.

3. Pear- Women who have a pear-shaped body, have a heavier lower body! This means you have weight on your buttocks & thighs, just like Kim Kardashian’s body!

What Should you wear?

Your goal should be to enhances your waistline & takes away attention from your hips & thighs. The cuts that suit this body type the most are A-line dresses or skirts, patterned tops Wear V-Necks to create that elongated torso illusion. Also use printed or patterned clothing to shift the focus.

4. Rectangle- Women who have a rectangle-shaped body, are well balanced from shoulders to hips with less curves!

Your goal should be, to draw attention to your shoulders & take away focus from the belly or waist. Wear well-fitted tailored clothing. Layered clothing works well too!

Avoid- Ill-fitting clothes are a No-No!

2. Oval- If you have an oval body, you have a round stomach area and narrow shoulders.

What Should you wear?

Your goal should be draw attention to lengthening the torso, making it appear slimmer, with attention given to the shoulders too.

Avoid- Say No to high contrast outfits!

3. Inverted Triangle- Men who have this body type, have an athletic body type with broad, wide shoulders & chest and a narrow hip & waist.

What Should you wear?

Your goal should be to create a balance between upper & lower body. Wear clothes that will narrow the upper body down, and refocusing attention down.

Avoid- Skinny trousers/jeans!

You want to create a trapezoid shape, broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

5. Trapezoid- These men have broad shoulders & chest, with narrow hips and waist.

What Should you wear?
