Happiness Is A Choice – Positive Reflection Of The Week

Let’s start with a Chinese proverb:
“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day, go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime, help someone else.”

Life is governed by cycles and us humans have to face all the cycles of life. For example, there are happy moments and unhappy moments. It’s a choice we make as to which emotions we need to follow; you see you always have a choice. We all do, so do not give your moments to anyone else, to decide for you.

Problems in life happen anyway. Sometimes we are up and sometimes down. A sense of humour helps us keep our spirit always high! Laughter is also a therapy. It helps release the anger, frustrations, stress, grief and feeling of guilt out of our system and brings us more peace, joy and happiness instead.

We like spending most of our time waking, worrying about tomorrow and asking questions like ‘what if’ we actually lose the precious moments of happiness around us, the laughter of children playing, the birds singing, the smell of that fresh rain pouring, the whistle of the wind blowing. Time passes by & we do not enjoy those moments which truly matter.

Stop Worrying about the Future!

Simple exercises you may wish to follow are: Read more jokes and watch more funny videos. Try to stop watching dramas and depressing movies as well as reading depressing books.

Remember, the key to happiness is in the Heart. Open that heart. Start giving to charity, help others in need. It’s a feeling of fulfilment when you see others in need getting what they want, the smile on their faces helps lift your spirits up, and the joy you feel after that good deed cannot be measured in any material way.

Do something new – enjoy a new skill that will keep your moods high. We all need that boosting pill, find yours today.
