Often too many times, there’s a misconception that your relationship should make you happy. While there may be some truth to that statement, it’s not completely true. Happiness is a personal choice, and when you get solely dependent on your relationship for your happiness, you end up putting a lot of pressure on your partner. Happiness is definitely not something you need to depend on your partner for.

So, the next question that may be lingering on your mind is, how can I forge my own happy life? Do what makes you happy & content. Have goals in life, pursue them, follow your passion. When you start living life fully by focusing on things that make you happy and have achieved true inner happiness, you will not only feel, but will also be more attractive to your partner. Your relationship will get deeper and interesting as you feel more content and as a result, you will radiate more happiness to your partner and your relationship, rather than depend on your partner for it. After all, who doesn’t want to be around a happy life partner?

Be sure to be a better person and work on your own happiness, without having any expectations from your partner, for a great relationship should add to your life & Not be your life!

Gratitude: 

Who doesn’t want to feel appreciated? Be sure, you appreciate your partner for everything he/she does. Use the words ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ to show your affection and gratitude to your partner. Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the little things, and unknowingly, your partner may feel like they’re being taken for granted. In fact, a lot of failed relationships will be a result of lack of appreciation. So, don’t forget to show gratitude.

After all, remember you get what you give so if you want your partner to be considerate and keep showing the affection, love and appreciation, all you need to do is show your gratitude. It’s only when your partner feels noticed and as a result happy, will they want to do more.
