FARFALLE PASTA IN RED SAUCE

(3-4 SERVINGS)

INGREDIENTS

1 Packet farfalle pasta
1 large onion chopped
Puree of 3 tomatoes
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1½ teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon chili flakes
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper powder
½ cup cooking cream
3 tablespoons cooking oil

METHOD

For The Pasta
Boil water in a pan and add a tablespoon of salt and oil to the water, to blanch the pasta. Blanch the
pasta for around 10 minutes and drain off water through a strainer and set aside to cool.

For The Sauce

STEP 1
In a pan heat oil and sauté onions then add cumin seeds & sauté this for around 30 seconds then
add the garlic paste to this and continue till the garlic is cooked.

STEP 2
Now add the tomato puree, oregano, chili flakes, garam masala, soy sauce, salt and black pepper.
Cook this for around 5-8 minutes and adjust seasoning if need be.

STEP 3
Lastly add cream to the above and stir well, then add your cooked pasta to this and Garnish with some oregano.
