How to Perform Hajj – Step by Step Guide 2024

Discover the Sacred Sites in Makkah

1. Masjid al-Haram:

The Grand Mosque is the focal point of Hajj, encompassing the Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam. Performing Tawaf around the Kaaba and praying in this sacred mosque is a central part of the Hajj pilgrimage.

2. Mount Arafat:

Known as the “Mountain of Mercy,” Mount Arafat is where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his farewell sermon. Pilgrims gather here on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah to stand in prayer and seek forgiveness.

3. Mina:

Mina is the site of the symbolic stoning of the devil, where pilgrims throw pebbles at three pillars. It is also the location where pilgrims stay in tents during the days of Tashreeq.

4. Jabal al-Nour:

Visit the mountain where the Cave of Hira is located, the place where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation from the Angel Gabriel. It is a site of deep spiritual significance and reflection.

5. Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah:

While not in Makkah, many pilgrims extend their journey to Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is buried. Offering prayers here is highly recommended.
