Top Kenyan Designer Deepa Dosaja Represents Kenya At UN F4D First Ladies Luncheon In NYC
Earlier during the year, our very own top Kenyan fashion designer Deepa Dosaja represented Kenya amongst 52 other countries at the launch of the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange with TRH The Duchess of Cambridge & Countess of Wessex at the Buckingham Palace, during London Fashion Week. Recently on 25th September, the Select Commonwealth Fashion Exchange looks were featured & Deepa once again made Kenya proud in New York at the UN Fashion 4 Development First Ladies Luncheon. This runway collection will also be displayed 27th September onward at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in NYC.
The partners namely Swarovski, EcoAge, The Woolmark Company & MATCHESFASHION.COM have had a huge role in the success of The Commonwealth Fashion Exchange and have been a huge support to the women at large.
Deepa’s collection is largely inspired by nature which is depicted through her floral patterns & has always been a breath of fresh air as she uses all natural fabrics that are environmentally friendly. Keep an eye out for the launch of Deepa’s latest GOTS collection that will be made from certified environmentally friendly silks!
