CUSTARD PUDDING

CUSTARD PUDDING RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1 litre milk
½ cup sugar
6 tablespoons of custard powder and ½ cup milk (mixed together)
Queen cakes (2 packets crumbled- leave some to sprinkle on top)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
¼ cup pineapple juice
500 ml whipped cream
3 tablespoons of icing sugar
Smarties for garnish

METHOD

STEP 1
In a pan pour in your milk and sugar and bring to a boil under medium heat. Stir continuously.

STEP 2
Pour the mixed custard & milk mixture into your boiled milk and on low heat mix well to remove all lumps. Cook this until it becomes thick. Once cooked pass this through a strainer to remove any extra lumps then let it cool off.

STEP 3
In a bowl whisk your whipping cream and icing sugar together till it becomes thick.

STEP 4
In a Pyrex dish spread out your crumbled cakes at the bottom of the dish evenly and then pour in the pineapple juice, then
add your whipped cream and layer it properly. Lastly add your custard and layer it evenly.

STEP 4
To Garnish-Sprinkle some of your crumbled cake on top along with some Smarties.
Chill for 2 hours, then serve!
