All About Change – Positive Reflection Of The Week

Change Is Good.. – By Shahwana Khanam

As we go through the changes that have taken place in the past three months, how have we adapted to them?

For many of us, we just went ahead and made the necessary requirements that were needed. This is called the human tendency to adapt to what is happening around us.

The brain and the body adjusts, for example, if we move to another part of the city – where the weather conditions may be different to what we have been used to, after a few weeks that weather pattern becomes normal.

As the old proverb goes… “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step’’, your first step in the ‘change’ process should perhaps be the attitude we look at ‘change’ with. The phrase “nothing is permanent everything is subjective to change’’.(by The Founder of Pranic Healing GMCKS) has always given me a sense of hope, and I know this too shall pass.

However, during the ‘changes’ that take place, the right questions you should be asking yourself are the 3 What’s?
 What is the lesson in this for me?
 What changes or steps I need to take forward?
 What is the lesson in this?

When we understand the process of change, which is called life, we can then look at tomorrow with a smile as well as the strength to take the steps becomes easy.

“Our brains are like closets. Over time they are filled with things we no longer use – things that do not fit. Every once a while, they need to be cleaned out.’’

One way of doing this is by taking change as a new part of you. Feel excited that you will learn something new out of this…

“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future” – John F Kennedy

We cannot avoid the unexpected events (crisis) in our lives, as it is these events that challenge us and force us to step out of our comfort zone. If we ignore or hide away from the challenge of change, we deny ourselves the opportunity to learn and grow.

Our resilience in life can only grow stronger when we embrace change and manage these challenges in a positive way, rather than hide away and ignore the opportunities that change can bring to our lives.

There is no escaping the impact that change can bring into in your life.
Managing change in life is key to living a life where you are not only surviving but thriving as well.

Don’t allow fear to take over you and make you believe that you cannot change your thoughts towards going on – looking at all what’s happening around us, you need to have a positive attitude. Our fear and self-limiting beliefs will kick into action when we are faced with the disruptive consequences of change. There is no escaping the fact that change is a disruptor and it feels uncomfortable and scary. However, it is our power of choice that enables us to activate positive change in our lives. So take that choice it’s in your hands, no one has that power over you but you.
