THE UK INNOVATOR VISA & THE UK TIER 1 (INVESTOR) VISA

By far the more cost-effective of the two, with a minimum investment of just £50,000, the UK Innovator Visa is suitable for individuals looking to set up, or be involved in the set-up, of a new business in the UK which is innovative, viable and scalable.

To assist with this process, Windsor has extensive partnerships with companies in the UK to offer HNWIs both innovator business opportunities as well as mentoring and business support programs.

Once a qualified investment is made, the applicant and their dependent family can apply for a UK Innovator Visa, which will allow them and their families to reside in the UK for 3 years.

If specific qualifying criteria are met, over the 3 year residency period, the applicant will be issued with Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after the 3 years. After 6 years, the individual can then apply for citizenship.

The UK Tier 1 (Investor) Visa

With the UK Tier 1 Investor Visa, a residency visa can be obtained by the applicant, their spouse and dependent children for a period of 3 years and 4 months with a minimum investment of £2,000,000. If qualifying criteria is met during the initial 3 year residency period, the visa can then be extended for an additional period of 2 years.

Once the applicant and their families have spent more than 183 days per year in the UK over the first 5 years, they become eligible to apply for Indefinite leave to Remain (ILR) or settlement. On holding the ILR for a period of 1 year the applicant may become eligible to apply for UK citizenship and a British passport thereafter.
