What Should Women Wear For Their Zoom Meetings

2020 has been crazy so far, with the current lockdown there has been a drastic shift in the way people work, from office to home. This shift has been a massive change in most people’s lives. It’s important to note that just because you are working from home doesn’t mean you don’t need to have your professional game on. In order to get into the who work-mode and to maintain sanity, it’s also recommended to get up and get dressed. Apart from trying to keep to the same work routine which is having a good night’s rest and waking up early one should also make it a point to get dressed & out of those pyjamas. Keeping in mind all meetings have been shifted online, who wants to look scruffy and turn up looking like they just got out of bed into their zoom meeting? Ladies below is a do’s & don’ts list of what you should wear at your Zoom meetings with a few tips to keep in mind whilst dressing up for your online meetings.

Do’s & Don’ts:

Don’t wear a plunging neckline as you don’t want people to have a close view of your you know what! Just like at work you wouldn’t turn up wearing low necklines keep the same rule in mind!
Stick to bright colours as supposed to dull ones. Bright colours give off positivity and during this lockdown ‘positivity’ is needed in abundance. Besides, remember if you have a plain white background such as your wall a pop of colour would look great on a video call.
Opt for bold patterns or prints to stand out.
Remember you shouldn’t have the attitude ‘I am just dressing up for a Zoom meeting’. This should be your routine; wake up early, dress up and get to work. This is actually motivation & should be practised regularly!
Opt for smart blouses with sleeves. This shows professionalism and honestly ladies if you haven’t been grooming yourself, this is a MUST!
Please don’t opt for shiny materials. You are not headed to a disco or a party! This is a professional meeting and you need to dress appropriately. You can accessorize by all means but don’t overdo it!
Don’t wear anything too skimpy or too fitted. Remember even at your workplace you would avoid wearing fitted outfits and skimpy clothes. Stick to the same rules.

Wear your hair either in a ponytail or a bun. You don’t have to go full out by straightening or curling your hair if that is what you used to do, a neat ponytail or a bun will suffice!
