Veg Bread Rolls!
Got left over bread but not sure what to use it for? We have the perfect recipe for you- Veg Bread Rolls! They are a perfect tea-time snack that can be devoured with any sauce or chutney of your choice. For the filling you can use whatever mixed vegetables you prefer!
VEG BREAD ROLLS
VEG BREAD ROLLS RECIPE (4-6 Servings)
INGREDIENTS
4-6 slices of bread
2 medium potatoes boiled & skinned
1/4 cups peas boiled
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp mango powder
salt to taste
1/2 cup water
1 egg
Oil for deep frying
METHOD
STEP 1
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan & saute the ginger & garlic paste, chilli powder & mango powder. To this, add the mashed potatoes,peas & salt to taste & mix well. Take off heat & put aside to cool.
STEP 2
Take the slices of bread and cut the edges. Then using a rolling pin flatten each slice and & moisten it with a little water using your fingers.
STEP 3
Take the rolled slice and in the centre, add a tablespoon full of the potato & pea mixture, then
roll using hands into oval shaped rolls. Seal all sides using water.
STEP 4
In a bowl beat an egg then dip each roll into the beaten egg. Now pour some oil into a pan & deep fry the rolls.
Serve hot with sauce or chutney of your choice!!
