Shine Bright Like A Diamond – Positive Reflection Of The Week

Shine Bright Like A Diamond: Don’t Dim Your Shine

How often do you walk into a room (a social gathering, a business meeting, or even a class of some sort) and size up the room and then try your best not to outshine the room?

Guess what, YANA!! (You Are Not Alone). I have been afraid to show up and be 100% myself for the longest time ever. I have been afraid to bring my full authentic, unapologetic self out in the crowd because I was afraid people would think I was too much and would reject me. After all, we all want to be accepted, even if that means, dimming our light.

It took a long time for me to understand that the only one whom I needed acceptance from was myself, and If I could accept this boisterous, confident, witty, quirky, energetic, dysfunctional, silly, brilliant, thought-provoking, change agent, spiritual, but also vulnerable, some days not so confident, confused, and not so powerful person that resides behind the tough and serious-looking exterior, I didn’t need anyone else to accept me for who and what I am.

Let me tell you something:

1. You are a unique and unrepeatable miracle.
2. No one can do you, the way you do you.
3. When you hide your gifts, your talents, your true and authentic Personality, and your Character, you deny the world one more opportunity to be inspired and motivated.

You need to STOP!

So here is my challenge to you:
Next time you have to walk into a room full of people for a meeting or a presentation or even a family gathering, whether virtual or in-person, give the world the best version of you. Because when you do, you allow others to see a better version of themselves and who they can become once they shine their light

So Shine on!
