PERFECT CUP OF COFFEE (1 serving)

INGREDIENTS

1 tsp coffee powder (instant coffee)
2 tsp sugar
1-2 tsp hot water
1 cup full cream milk

METHOD

STEP 1
In a ceramic cup add your coffee powder & sugar. Then add a tsp of hot water and with the help of a spoon keep stirring vigorously. You will notice after a few minutes of stirring that the colour of your coffee mixture is going from dark brown to light brown. Keep stirring till you achieve a creamy yellow colour. If you feel that the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more water to it just make sure not to add too much water. The mixture has to be of thick creamy consistency. Spread this out around the inside of your cup with the base of your spoon.

STEP 2
In a non-stick pot add your cup of milk and let it come to boil on a medium flame. Now add this hot milk to your cup with the mixture and serve hot! Note: You can gently stir the coffee mixture if need be! If you like more foam then before adding the milk to the cup, whilst the milk is hot pour it in a glass jar or a thermos and then shake vigorously for a few minutes.

The perfect cup of coffee has to be Kenyan! I am very fortunate that where I live in the United Kingdom I have three outlets not far from where I live where I get Kenyan coffee beans freshly ground to the way I like them. According to my taste buds, nothing coffee-wise beats a good cup of Kenyan!
