  • The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated: “When one of you is fasting, let him break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (let him break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.” This highlights their instant restorative power.
  • Ajwa Dates and Protection: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) specifically said regarding the Ajwa date of Madinah: “He who eats seven Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them.” This emphasises their protective qualities.
