Opposites attract. But this could be for all the wrong reasons. Here’s a bit about the difference between narcissists and empaths (who are the complete opposites).

Narcissists target empaths because they get the maximum use from them.

Narcissistic people love being admired, while empaths are very sensitive to other people’s feelings.

Empaths are very attractive to narcissists because they are in tune with other people’s emotions and can absorb other people’s feelings very easily. This makes them highly valuable to narcissists because they use empaths to fulfil their needs selflessly.

These relationships are extremely toxic!

Narcissistic partners can present a very false sense of self by being charming and kind and intelligent. But they can be cold and punishing when things don’t go their way. This is strangely very attractive for empaths. Narcissists view empaths as selfless givers who will love and listen to all that they say.

Narcissists wear a mask. Largely they see others as below them and their mask starts to slip once they notice their partner’s imperfections and start blaming their partner. They use relationships to enhance their self-image and so they portray love and give attention when trying to lure someone into engaging with them.

Empaths, on the other hand, believe they can fix such partners with compassion because they find it hard to believe that narcissists can lack empathy.

If empaths love harmony narcissists love chaos.
