Love Thyself – Positive Reflection Of The Week
Learn To Love Thyself! – An Article by Shahwana
We all have heard of love, but when it comes to ourselves, many of us don’t see the importance of loving thyself, accepting ourselves. We are critical of our bodies; we get upset with ourselves and throw guilty comments we keep sharing in our mind, many times we keep thinking of the past errors, and how we could have done it better or said it differently. What we don’t sometimes register is that what we keep our minds busy with is actually in the past, it’s gone, the future is what’s important!
“At some point, you just gotta forgive the past, your happiness hinges on it.”
― Aaron Lauritsen, 100 Days Drive: The Great North American Road Trip
Quiet that inner critic by speaking to yourself kindly and compassionately. No one is perfect, however, we are all a work in progress. We also keep waiting for someone else to make us happy, we want the external influence to make that happy moment in our life, that’s where sadness and depression set home in us. The person who can make you happy is YOU! No one has that power, don’t give that power away, however, we give that power away usually out of desperation and need to be acknowledged. Don’t whip yourself, just remind yourself that no one is perfect.
You deserve love and that starts within, once we are ready to accept the “me’’ life starts unfolding, and we can manifest the greatness within.
