LAMB CHOPS IN ORANGE JUICE
LAMB CHOPS IN ORANGE JUICE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2kg lamb chops (french cut)
1L orange juice (1 packet)
4 sprigs of thyme
4 sprigs of rosemary
1 tbsp salt
1tbsp sugar
1 tsp paprika
½ tbsp garlic paste
½ tbsp ginger paste
100ml of oil
METHOD
STEP 1
In a large bowl add the juice, herbs and seasonings then mix well to make a marinade.
STEP 2
Add the lamb chops to the marinade, making sure all of them are well-covered, then cling film or cover tightly and leave in the refrigerator for 5-12 hours.
STEP 3
Once well-marinated, in a hot pan add the oil and fry the chops for about 2 minutes on each side and then place in the pre-heated oven at 175 degrees centigrade, for about 5 more mins or until your preferred doneness.
STEP 4
Strain the marinade and put in a pot over medium heat till it starts simmering; this will be used as a sauce.
STEP 5
Plate your chops and drizzle the sauce on top.
Serve with either fries or mashed potatoes!
