Farsi Puri- a crispy snack by Sunny that can be served at teatime! This crispy, deep fried snack is very popular among the Indians & you will understand why once you have tried this recipe yourself!
Farsi Puri Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1.5 cups maida
3 tbs semolina
3 tbs ghee (clarified butter)
1 tbs black peppercorns roughly ground
1 tbs zeera (cumin seeds) roughly ground
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
METHOD
Mix all ingredients & knead the flour until a tough dough.
Cover with damp cloth & let it rest for half an hour.
Then roll them out in small round, patty sized shapes, prick with a knife 3-4 times all over the rolled raw puri.
Heat oil in a pan & deep fry the puris till crisp.
Once cooked store them in airtight glass jars.
Serve with keri no chundo (grated raw mango)!
