Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Set in what is considered Kenya’s prime wildlife area, Mara Leisure Camp is located along the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara’s four wildlife viewing areas, on the northern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Mara Leisure Camp is located within one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Masai Mara Game Reserve.

One of the most exciting spectacles in the world is that of the ‘Great Migration’, where two million wildebeest, zebras and other herbivores pass through the Masai Mara/Serengeti ecosystem in Kenya and Tanzania. This is a perilous migration for the animals, where they encounter many river crossings and have to run the gauntlet of crocodiles in waiting.

Itinerary

DAY 1: 07h00: Pick up from your hotel/residence in NAIROBI safari briefing and depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. The reserve has a rich birdlife. Explore the plains and rolling hills for a chance to spot the elephant, black-manned lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, and diverse species of hoofed mammals.

Arrive at the lodge, check-in and have lunch.
Afternoon game drive in the reserve till sundown,
Dinner and overnight stay. (5-hour drive).

DAY 2 & 3: Full days spent game-viewing in the reserve. Explore the plains and rolling hills for a chance to spot the images of your dreams ranging from beautiful scenery to fascinating views of wildlife, in a natural habitat. Morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive with packed lunches would take you closer to nature. All meals and overnight at the camp.

DAY 4: Breakfast and check out. Depart from Maasai Mara back to Nairobi, Kenya’s wonderful capital city.
Arrive and drop off at your hotel or residence.

Our assistance
Mineral water provided in our safari vehicles safari in Kenya (in our bid towards a more sustainable and responsible tourism, we will NOT be providing individual water bottles on the safari from 01 Jan 2018. We would ask each guest to carry his/her own water bottle and we will be providing a 500ml refill per person, per day in our vehicles)
