COCONUT & SEMOLINA LADOO
COCONUT & SEMOLINA LADOO RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of semolina
2 cups desiccated coconut
4 green cardamom pods
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup of water
10g cashew nuts
5 tsp ghee (clarified butter)
METHOD
STEP 1
In a frying pan add ghee and fry the cashew nuts till golden brown then remove and keep aside.
STEP 2
Roast the semolina in the same pan till there is no more raw smell indicating it’s cooked.
STEP 3
In a separate pan roast the coconut till cooked and mix with the semolina & add the crushed cardamom pods.
STEP 4
In a cooking pot add the water and sugar and boil till a single line thick syrup forms.
STEP 5
Pour the syrup into the coconut mixture and mix well.
STEP 6
Let the mixture cool for about 20 mins before you start to form balls. Garnish each with a cashew nut.
