CINNAMON ROLLS

CINNAMON ROLLS RECIPE (10-12 Servings)

INGREDIENTS FOR CINNAMON ROLLS

2 teaspoon yeast
¾ cup milk
¼ cup water
¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup melted blue band
4 cups all-purpose flour sifted

METHOD

STEP 1
In a basin put in all ingredients and mix well until it all combines and then knead well.
(Rest this dough for at least one hour to rise.)

STEP 2
After the dough has rested for at least an hour dust your work place with some flour and roll out
your dough flat.

 

INGREDIENTS FOR SPREADING ON THE DOUGH

3 tablespoons blue band
4 ½ tablespoon cinnamon powder
5 tablespoon sugar
2 handful of walnuts crushed

METHOD

STEP 1
Spread blue band all over the dough and sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar on the dough along with the crushed walnuts.

STEP 2
Once you’ve spread everything roll out the dough firmly and then cut slices of the dough to 1 ½
inches wide.

STEP 3
On a baking tray spread blue band and place your rolls 2 inches away from each other and brush
egg wash on all rolls and rest this for 20 minutes at least.

STEP 3
Preheat oven at 180 degrees and bake this for 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS FOR GLAZE

2 cups icing sugar
1 tin cream cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
¼ cup milk

METHOD

STEP 1
In a basin whisk all these ingredients until the texture is smooth.

STEP 2
Once cinnamon rolls are out of the oven and still hot brush the glaze on top.
