These Chocolate Brownies by Chef Aakshar Joshi are perfect for any day, however, with Valentine’s around the corner, we decided to add this recipe to our this week’s ‘Valentine’s Day’ special! They are extremely easy to make and you can even replace the nuts with your choice of nuts such as peanuts! These perfect chewy, chocolatey, nutty fudge squares melt in your mouth and leave you wanting for more! So don’t forget to try this recipe for your Valentine!
CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
CHOCOLATE BROWNIES RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
36gms York (2 eggs)
108gms sugar (approx 1.5 cups)
90gms butter (approx 1 cup)
48gms dark chocolate (approx 1/3 cup)
54gms egg whites (1 egg)
25gms flour (approx 1/4 cup)
A handful of crushed cashew nuts or macadamia
METHOD
STEP 1
In a bowl mix the yolks and sugar together & make sure you preheat your oven at 160 degrees for about 10 minutes.
STEP 2
In a separate bowl melt the butter and chocolate together.
STEP 3
In another bowl, whip the egg white.
STEP 4
Now gently fold in the yolk and sugar mixture with the egg white together with the melted butter and chocolate and fold in the flour and nuts.
STEP 5
Pour the brownie mixture into your desired tin, or mould & bake at 160c for about 30 minutes or until done (you can insert a skewer to check if it comes out clean).
