That’s right chocolate mousse with a twist; a hint of chilli flavour! Don’t worry the chilli doesn’t make it spicy just adds a little bit of a kick to the delicious dark chocolate mousse! If you never thought chillies and chocolates go together try this dessert and you won’t see dark chocolate mousse the same way ever again, it’s a promise!
CHILLI CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
CHILLI CHOCOLATE MOUSSE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
4egg whites
500 cream whipped
380 dark chocolate
50gms chillies (flakes or loathe liquid eg Tobasco or powder)
250 caster sugar
METHOD
STEP 1
Beat the egg whites in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
STEP 2
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe dish for about a minute. Let it sit for a bit then stir until melted.
STEP 3
In another bowl whip the cream with the sugar until stiff peaks form.
STEP 4
Fold in the cream, chocolate and egg whites together and add the chilli powder.
STEP 5
Pour the mousse in separate glasses or desired serving moulds and refrigerate immediately
Serve chilled!
