Get Checked In Your Checked Shirt-By H&S
A checked shirt, another essential and a must-have in your wardrobe! It can be worn as either smart or casual & H&S therefore emphasizes that every lady and man out there own this versatile ‘wardrobe staple’! The checked shirts always make a comeback in the fashion world as the fashion world never seems to get bored of this very popular piece! With the growing & advancing fashion world the checked shirts too have grown in their colours & patterns! So men & women make sure you own a checked shirt!
1. Look At The Checked Pattern
Do the checked shirts have a fine checked pattern, that is are they smaller checks in a uniform pattern? If so, this less bolder pattern checkered shirt is perfect for a more smarter or formal office wear look! On the other hand, wider checks, that is the bigger & bolder the pattern, the more casual the checked shirt is!
For Her– Wear the fine printed checked shirt with formal trousers and pull a blazer on top! This can be perfect for work! For the more casual look, pick the bigger checked shirt and wear it on a pair of jeans!
For Him– Wear the smaller checks shirt in a classic neutral base tone such as blue, which can be worn over formal trousers with either a bold single toned tie or a contrasting tie for e.g. a striped tie. On the other hand you can wear the wider, bolder checkered shirt over jeans or contrasting chinos!
2. What Is The Colour?
Multi-toned shirts for e.g. red & green are well suited for a casual look, while neutral toned shirts like blue are more suited for a formal look!
For Her– The bright coloured checked shirts are perfect when paired with denim for a date, while the neutral toned shirts can be worn for example over a pencil skirt for the formal look!
For Him– Wear the bold colours with a pair of jeans, you can also match your checked shirt for e.g. red & grey shirt with a pair of grey or dark blue jeans. On the other hand the neutral coloured checked shirts can be worn with formal trousers to give that formal look!
3. Layer It Up With An Outer Or Inner-Wear!
You can wear a shirt over another or you can wear a smart jacket or coat over the checkered shirt, breaking the monotony of the stripes by adding a little more texture & depth to the outfit!
For Her– Wear a plain coloured t-shirt under the checked shirt, it can be sleeveless, and combine this with your favourite skinny jeans when going out with friends. Alternatively you can wear a smart blazer on top of your checkered shirt giving it a more formal look!
For Him– A white t-shirt or your white vest under your checked shirt (left open) over a nice pair of dark coloured jeans can be worn on a casual date, whilst a nice smart jacket over your checkered shirt can be worn for a more formal appearance!
4. Sleeve Up Vs Sleeve Down!
Rolled up sleeves or sleeves down, all depends on the weather!
For Him & Her– Roll up your sleeves when in summer. You can roll it up neatly for a more smarter look! However in general, be it winter or for a more formal look, sleeves normally aren’t rolled up!
