One of the biggest-selling reggae artists of all time, Shaggy brought a sense of mischief to the genre with his sweet, catchy mainstream style. Born in Jamaica, the star migrated to Brooklyn as a teen and later joined the U.S. Marines. '93 debut Pure Pleasure and '95's Boombastic both produced monster hits, while his '00 comeback album, Hot Shot, went onto sell more than six million copies worldwide. Although Shaggy has yet to match his early successes, he has remained a fixture on the music scene, and was nominated for the Best Reggae Album GRAMMY® in both '08 and '12.
