Along with ABBA and Roxette, Ace of Base are one of the most famous Swedish pop acts of all time. Though the foursome's debut project was first titled Happy Nation in 1992, a re-release as The Sign a year later spawned a seemingly endless parade of hits that dominated the dance floor and helped move more than 25 million copies. A mainstay of '90s "Greatest Hits" compilations, the band have released material into the '10s, and their influence on modern dance pop can still be felt far and wide.
